Marejke Baethge, M.A.
is Head of the Global South Section. She coordinates the content and organizational management with regards to the field, supports the faculties and institutes in their strategical orientation towards contacts abroad, and helps initiate further development for external projects and funding. Additionally, Ms. Baethge is the facilitator between the Global South team at the International Office and the collaborating faculties and institutions of the University of Cologne. Her specialization is the African continent.

Mariana Arjona-Soberón, M.Sc.
is the Coordinator for International Cooperation Projects & Innovation. She is in charge of strategic planning, new project development and conception, E-Learning initiatives, marketing, departmental webdesign and social media. Mariana is a cultural anthropologist.

Sarah-Marleen Dannenberg, M.Phil.
is the Project Administrator of the Center for Modern Indian Studies within Department 9. This includes the financial management, administrative support of scholars, and the development of public relation strategies for the project. Additionally, she is involved in any India-related activities and co-organizes the summer school in the Himalayas. Sarah obtained her Master's degree in Linguistics.

Katharina Daun, M.A.
is the Administrative Project Manager of the ProGRANT courses. Moreover, she coordinates the summer schools in China and India, is the contact person for CSC, the scholarship program of the Chinese government, and other China-related activities. Katharina is currently on maternity leave.
is Head of Finances within Department 92. Mr. Vogt is responsible for the budget planning, accounting, and SAP-management concerning all Global South projects. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.

Tilman Pfeiffer, M.A.
In recent years, Mr. Pfeiffer represented the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as a lecturer in Myanmar, after having worked in South Korea and Vietnam with a special focus on teaching German as a Foreign Language. At the International Office of the University of Cologne he is working as a Project Coordinator, contributing to the Academic Cooperation with Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. In addition, he is giving classes to improve the language and learning skills of students from our international partner universities. Mr. Pfeiffer is also engaged in international admissions processes at the University of Cologne.
Henry Okolie, B.Sc.
Henry is a Student Administrative Assistant under the DIES ProGRANT course. He is currently pursuing an International Master of Environmental Science (IMES) degree at the University of Cologne
Hei Wa Wong
Hei Wa Wong is from Hong Kong and currently studying her Bachelor Degree in Integrated Design. She is assisting with design-related tasks in Global South Department.
Pawel Gawronski is a Student Regional Assistant with focus on China. He is responsible for China Summer Schools, Chinese Council Scholarship and general support for China activities. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor degree in English and Chinese Studies.
Judith Kistl, B.A.
Judith Kistl is the Lead Administrative Assistant within the DIES ProGRANT team and has put her focus on the financial management and accounting of the project. She has a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and is currently doing her Master's in Political Science at the University of Cologne.
Andreas Bildhauer, B.Sc
Andreas is a Student Administrative Assistant under the DIES ProGRANT course. After finishing his Bachelor degree in Business Mathematics, he now pursues his Master degree in the same field.

Dr. Amisha Jain
Head of the University of Cologne Branch Office in New Delhi
Dr Amisha Jain is a lawyer by profession, and holds a Doctorate of Law in the study of the rights of Indigenous people of India. Amisha visits Cologne every year in June to participate in the Cologne India Week, where she meets UoC professors who are keen to establish liaisons with Indian institutes of higher education. Her role is to prepare the annual strategy of Indian academic activities and to inform about the latest research landscape and education policies in India. She is responsible for fostering Indo-German research collaborations and looks after already existing exchange programs with Indian institutes of higher education.
